These studies in analytical psychology based on a collection of lectures which were given during the years 1936-1945. They are the result of fifteen years of psychotherpeutic practice by a wellknown analytical psychologist.

They have grown out of the almost daily contact between analyst and patient; every problem discussed has emerged from the common effort of analyst and analysand.
