The Visual I Ching – Oliver Perrottet (Cards and Book)

$95.00

The Visual I Ching by Oliver Perrottet – an illustrated card-and-book set for consulting the ancient Chinese Book of Changes.

About the book

Oliver Perrottet pairs each of the 64 hexagrams of the I Ching with an original image and a clear commentary, making the oracle accessible through intuition as well as text. An out-of-print set for I Ching students and collectors of oracle decks.

The I Ching, or Book of Changes, is one of the oldest books in the world – a system of 64 hexagrams used for divination and reflection in China for three thousand years and a foundation of both Confucian and Taoist thought. Perrottet's approach makes the hexagrams immediately visual: each image captures the essence of its hexagram, so readings can be understood at a glance and then explored more deeply through the commentary.

The set can be used in place of coins or yarrow stalks, or alongside a traditional translation such as Wilhelm's.

Ideal for: I Ching students, collectors of oracle decks, and readers of Chinese philosophy.
